Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed his legal team to file references against the members of the National Assembly (MNAs) who were involved in horse-trading.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PM Imran who is also chairman of the ruling party—the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has dismissed the replies of his deviant MNAs.
PM Imran termed the replies of his deviant MNAs as unreasonable and has given formal approval of filing the reference against them to the National Assembly Speaker for their disqualification.
The channel report said the time given to the deviant members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for clarification has expired on Friday so a constitutional action has been started against them.
The PM also held an important meeting with his Advisor for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan and Central Additional Secretary General PTI Amir Mahmood Kiyani and directed them to file the reference.
Dr Babar Awan said the references against deviant members have been prepared in the light of instructions of the Prime Minister and PTI Chairman.
He said documentary evidence against members involved in horse-trading will also be sent along with the references under Article 63-A (1).
The advisor said the constitution imposes a basic condition of honesty and trust on members of the parliament but these deviant members have openly deviated from the instructions of the parliamentary party chief.
He said references against the deviant MNAs will soon be sent to the Speaker for legal action.
