The number of new coronavirus cases detected in Pakistan are on a constant decline as the virus was found in 841 people during the past 24 hours (Friday).
It means the overall number of the coronavirus cases now stands at 279,146, shows the latest figures released by National Command and Operation Centre on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, the same period saw 19 more people dying after being infected, raising the death toll to 5,970.
As far as the active cases are concerned, there are currently 25,149 people are still carrying the coronavirus infection with most of them in self-isolation at home and the rest in hospitals for treatment.
On the other hand, the official data shows 248,027 people have so far fully recovered from the virus.
During the past 24 hours, another 22,930 citizens were administered with the coronavirus tests which means the total number of tests conducted since the coronavirus pandemic outbreak has now increased to 1,996,167.
Sindh tops the list with 121,039 coronavirus virus cases, making it the most affected province in the country. The figures for other provinces/regions are: Punjab 93,057, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 34,056, Islamabad 15,033, Balochistan 11,743, Gilgit-Baltistan 2,134 and Azad Kashmir 2,084.
Earlier, another 903 people were diagnosed with the infection on Thursday), showing that the trend of a marked decline in the number of new coronavirus is being sustained.
