Detained member provincial assembly of Punjab (MPA) Nazir Ahmad Chohan Saturday apologised to Prime Minister’s aide Shahzad Akbar for calling him a Qadiyani.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Nazir Chohan who belonged to the Jahangir Tareen group had been arrested on July 28, only a day after he secured his release on bail after having been arrested in connection with questioning the faith of Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Accountability and Interior Shahzad Akbar.
Chohan was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime in Lahore and a court in Lahore on Saturday sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
In the evening on the same day, Chohan got heart pain in the jail and was immediately shifted to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology in Lahore.

He further stated that he did not call anyone a disbeliever nor he had a right to say so to anyone.
He also said that he begged Shahzad Akbar to forgive him if he was hurt by his statement.
