PDM postpones 13th August public meeting in Karachi

The opposition alliance—Pakistan Democratic Movement Saturday postponed its scheduled public meeting on August 13, 2021, in Karachi.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PDM leaders took the decision to postpone the public meeting by following the worst situation of coronavirus in Karachi city.

The decision to postpone the scheduled public meeting in Karachi was taken by PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl group with the consultation of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader and the secretary of the alliance Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

As secretary-general of the opposition alliance, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi formally informed all the parties and stakeholders about the postponement of the public meeting.

A new date of the public meeting in Karachi would be decided later.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif of the Nawaz League who was quarantined at her residence here in Lahore after getting the COVID-19 test positive five days ago was also scheduled to address the meeting in Karachi.
