Finance minister under fire over power bill sales taxes

The All Pakistan Anjuman Tajran has come down hard on the finance minister for imposing additional taxes, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Sunday 

Power bill sales tax will not be paid under any circumstances, All Pakistan Anjuman Tarjan President Ajmal Baloch said.

The traders and the businesspersons have rejected the finance minister’s sales tax strategies, he said, adding that such steps will add to traders’ troubles.

Ajmal Baloch said that if the government does not withdraw the decision, they will go on a nationwide protest movement.

He said he has already made requests to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for replacing this minister. The business community has landed in deep financial troubles.

A meeting of the traders and businesspersons will take up the matter and countrywide protests on August 2.
