FIA arrests notorious human trafficker in Lahore

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore has arrested a suspected ‘human smuggler’ for his alleged involvement in illegally sending scores of people abroad since 2016, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.   

The federal agency continued its crackdowns against ‘human smugglers’ after dozens of Pakistanis drowned in the Greece boat tragedy last month.

The FIA spokesperson confirmed in a statement that the agency’s anti-human trafficking circle arrested a most wanted ‘human smuggler’ – Sajid Ahmad after a major operation.

On the direction of FIA Lahore Zone Director Sarfraz Work, operations are underway to arrest the most wanted accused.

A case has already been registered against Sajid Ahmad in FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore.

The team headed by sub-inspector Kamran Zeeshan arrested the accused involved in human trafficking from Lahore.

The FIA spokesperson said that the stall utilized modern technical and investigative resources to arrest the accused.

The accused was involved in the heinous crime of human trafficking and trafficking since 2016, the spokesperson added.

The accused received money from the citizens to send abroad illegally

The accused has been arrested and an investigation has been started.
