The ruling allied parties on Monday decided to engage in the third round of consultation regarding the nomination of caretaker set up after the assemblies’ dissolution, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to sources, the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, Pakistan People’s Party, Jamhoori Watan Party, Balochistan Awami Party, Awami National Party, Pakistan Muslim League Quaid, Balochistan National Party, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, Qaumi Watan Party, and others took part in the consultative meeting summoned by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the formation of interim setup.
The participants held a consultation session on the date of the dissolution of the assemblies and the formation of a caretaker setup to oversee the affairs of the country until the new government is formed.
The meeting sought the name of the Caretaker Prime Minister from coalition parties especially the small parties within two days.
The allied parties agree to continue consultation to form a caretaker setup, sources said, adding that the consultative meeting of the coalition parties will be held again this week.
