The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced an increase in the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) effective from August 1, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a notification, the price of LPG has been hiked by Rs 2.27 per kilogram, setting the new rate at Rs 236.99 per kilogram. Consequently, the price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder has also been increased by Rs 26.90, bringing the total cost to Rs 2,796.56.
The price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder in July was Rs 2,769.66. The hike reflects the ongoing adjustments in fuel prices that the regulatory body periodically undertakes.
The revised pricing will impact consumers nationwide, particularly affecting households that rely on LPG for cooking and heating purposes.
