United State of America's embassy in Pakistan has reduced the duration of visa approval for Pakistanis, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the US Embassy sources, duration has been reduced for tourist, educational and business visa appointments. Pakistani students were being given priority in visa issuance as visa appointment time has been reduced to 230 days from earlier 440 days.
US Embassy sources claim that more consular officers have been deployed to reduce visa appointment period. While US embassy was processing 10,000 visa applications per month between Islamabad and Karachi. However, the details about visa rejection were not disclosed. Sources claim that a record number of visas were issued to Pakistanis last year.
