The federal government Wednesday decided to outsource pilot exams and sought help from the UK in the case of pilots’ fake licenses.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, an agreement has been inked between Pakistan Civil Aviation and British Civil Aviation to outsource pilot exams.
The federal cabinet approved the framework agreement between the two institutions.
As per the agreement, the British Civil Aviation would be authorized to take FOO, PPL and CPL exams of Pakistani pilots. The term of the agreement between CAA Pakistan and UK Civil Aviation International will be three years.
The exam fee is 90 pounds per paper in the first year and 95 pounds in the second year. And, Pakistan Civil Aviation would pay 75 per cent of expenses for the first time and 25 per cent for the second time.
But, for the third time, the pilot would be required to pay the full fee by himself or herself.
