1,400kg hashish loaded on camels seized in Gwadar

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) personnel thwarted a bid to smuggle 1,400kg of hashish through camels in dangerous and desert mountainous area of Gwadar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The operation was carried out on secret information and a large quantity of hashish being smuggled through Gwadar and then to sea was seized.

In another action, the ANF recovered 68 grams of weed in a parcel sent from London at International Mail Office in Rawalpindi.

Moreover, 3kg and 500 grams of ice was recovered at Bacha Khan International Airport Peshawar from the trolley bag of two suspects travelling to Sharjah.

The ANF also busted a smuggling bid near National Highway Road Hyderabad where they recovered 119 kg of hashish from a truck and detained 2 suspects. 

Similar, 11kg of hashish was recovered from the accused, a resident of Mehrabpur, near Sukkur at National Highway.

A total of 150 heroin-filled capsules were recovered from the stomach of two suspects and a woman who were going to Bangkok from Karachi International Airport.

Separate cases have been registered against the accused under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
