Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) Thursday issued monthly inflation report which stated that the country faced an inflation rate of 25.14% from July till November, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The monthly inflation report stated that the inflation rate of November came down by 2.8% resting at 23.8% which was recorded to be at 26.6% in October.
The report also stated that the inflation in the cities was recorded to be 21.6% while that in villages and suburbs was 27.2%.
The rates of vegetables like onion and potato inflated by 34.4% and 14.57% respectively and the rates of edibles like tea 14.7%, dry fruits 12.79%, fish 7% and eggs were increased by 5.3% in the last month of November.
The energy rates also increased in November as the electricity rates increased by 0.34% and the fuel prices increased by 3%.
On the annual basis, prices of onion increased by 284.8%, gram by 63.4%, and tea by 62.1%.and the rates of gram pulses increased by 56%, wheat by 43.3% and cooking oil by 41.8% in the last year according to the reports.
