Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has stressed the need for proper planning to cope with the challenge of climate change.

“Climate change is a huge challenge confronting the country. Sindh and Balochistan are the worst hit. Proper planning is essential to deal with it,” the former foreign minister said while addressing the Local Councils Association of Balochistan.

He added the world stood by Pakistan to provide relief to the people hit by the recent floods. He came down hard on the elements ignoring the largest province, saying: “People sitting in Islamabad do not know about the problems of Balochistan while the Balochs know about their problems and measures to fix them. "Like other provinces, there is a sense of deprivation in Punjab,

He listed the PPP's feats in combating climate change and providing flood-hit people in Sindh with relief.

Yesterday the PPP staged a demo in the Balochistan capital to commemorate the party’s 56th foundation day. The party leadership described Balochistan as the heart of Pakistan, saying that without it, the country could not progress. The party top brass vowed to bring betterment to Balochistan.
