TikToker awarded death sentence for murder by Islamabad court

The District and Sessions Courts in Islamabad has awarded death penalty to a TikToker on charges of dacoity and murder, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The court on Thursday also awarded a penalty of Rs0.5 million as fine to TikToker Aliyan in the murder case while seven-year prison and Rs30,000 fine for committing a dacoity.


Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra announced the reserved verdict on the murder case registered at Golra Police Station.


According to the details, Muhammad Niaz alias Aliyan stole a car from 28-year-old Khurram Akbar in May of last year and killed him for resistance.


Deceased Khurram Akbar was heading to Islamabad from Gujranwala late at night.


A 30-bore pistol has also been recovered from the accused, the police said.


Aliyan threw the weapon in the bushes near the murder scene, the police added.


According to statement of Aliyan, he was present in Peshawar when he got the news of the murder, the court said.


Text of the verdict declared that there is no witness to the statement of the accused TikToker and the witnesses also identified the culprit at the crime scene.


In light of the evidence, the witnesses, Aliyan was convicted of murder and dacoity, Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra announced.
