Lahore narrowly avoided a major terrorist attack as the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 11 extremely dangerous terrorists affiliated with Fatna al-Khawarij and other organisations.
The 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday that the arrested suspects were planning to target a significant government building in the city.
During the operation, authorities recovered maps of important buildings, explosives, detonators, and hand grenades from the suspects.
The successful crackdown is part of CTD’s continued efforts to thwart terrorism.
Officials revealed that a total of 34 terrorists have been apprehended last month, underscoring the department's relentless pursuit of national security.
