KP governor doesn’t propose poll date in letter to ECP

Haji Ghulam Ali asks Commission to hold consultations with political parties and security agencies to finalise any date

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Haji Ghulam Ali has not proposed any date for general elections of the provincial assembly, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has received Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor’s letter according to which the governor has asked the provincial electoral body to hold consultations with political parties and law enforcement agencies in this regard. 

The gernor said that after holding consultations with law enforcers any date for provincial assembly elections should be announced. The governor, in the letter, further said that the province was facing an alarming situation after the recent terrorism incidents.
