The banking sector of the country will face a series of holidays in the next ten days, affecting the public transactions and businesses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

According to the official notification, banks will be closed from February 3 to February 5 due to Kashmir Day and weekly holidays.

They will reopen on February 6 and close again on February 8 for the General Election.

Banks will resume their services on February 9 and have another weekly holiday on February 10 and 11.

This means that banks will be open only for three days and closed for six days in the next ten days.

However, some branches that operate on Saturdays will remain open for five days.
