The caretaker federal government has jacked up the price of petrol by Rs13.55 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs2.75 per litre for a fortnight.
The government revised the prices of petroleum products on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), said a press release issued by the Finance Division.
"Government of Pakistan has decided to bring changes in the current prices of petroleum products during the fortnight starting from 1st February 2024, as recommended by Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA),
According to the Finance Division, the new price of petrol the new price of petrol is Rs272.89 per litre and high-speed diesel Rs278.96 per litre. The press release has no mention of the price of kerosene and low-speed diesel.
