Former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi will be indicted in 190 million pounds case (Al-Qadir Trust case) today, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Accountability Court (AC) judge Muhammad Bashir will hear the case at Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
Last Thursday, the court had deferred the indictment of both husband and wife in the case.
Imran and his wife face the allegation of receiving land worth billions of rupees for their trust from Malik Riaz, a major property tycoon, for building an educational institution.
The NAB, in its reference, alleged that Imran’s PTI government had struck a deal with Riaz that caused a loss of more than $239m to the national exchequer, in a quid pro quid arrangement with the real estate businessman.
The hearing of Imran and Bushra’s illegal nikah case will also be held today at which witnesses will record their statements.
