Terrorist gets ‘taste of his own medicine’

A bomb blast took a terrorist’s own life while he was planting the explosive in Quetta on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The terrorist was fixing the bomb on Sipni Road in the provincial capital when it suddenly exploded taking the maker’s own life and injuring two other people.


The police personnel rushed to the explosion site and cordoned off the area. They collected evidence from the scene and started an investigation.


PML-N office bombed


Earlier in the day, three people were injured when a hand grenade was hurled near Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) election office in Jaffarabad district of Balochistan.


A large contingent of police rushed to the blast site and cordoned off the area. The police personnel collected evidence from the spot and launched an investigation into the incident.


Unidentified motorcycle riders lodged the grenade at the PML-N office, which caused injuries to three people.


Several injured in Turbat blast


Several injuries were reported in a bomb explosion that occurred near the Ghulam Nabi Chowk in Turbat on Thursday.


The police confirmed that the blast took place in the Ghulam Nabi Chowk area of Turbat city. However, the type of explosive device used has not yet been determined.


As soon as the incident was reported, a heavy contingent of police and Balochistan Levies reached the spot, cordoned off the area, and started a search operation.


On Wednesday, a leader of Awami National Party (ANP) was shot dead in Killa Abdullah town of Balochistan. Zahoor Ahmad was sitting at party office in Mezai Adda area of Killa Abdullah when unidentified gunmen sprayed it with bullets.


Zahoor Ahmad died on the spot while a worker, identified as Moeen Khan, was injured in the attack.


Also o Wednesday, three persons were injured in a bomb explosion at Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) office at Quetta’s Saryab Road.


Hand grenades were hurled at the home of PPP candidate and former minister Mir Zahoor Buledi at Kech. The bombs exploded in the backyard of the candidate’s house. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident, they informed.
