Weapons recovered from main accused's house in Maulana Usmani murder case

The police have made a breakthrough in the investigation of the murder of Maulana Masoodur Rahman Usmani, who was shot dead in Islamabad last month, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The police raided the house of Qaiser Abbas, the main accused, in Ratta Amral area of Rawalpindi and recovered the weapons used in the incident.

According to the police, Qaiser Abbas along with his accomplices Mujtabi Ali, Yawar Abbas and Frayad Ali had targeted Maulana Usmani and his driver near Faizabad interchange.

Maulana Usmani succumbed to his injuries while his driver survived.

The police have registered a case against the accused under the Anti-Terrorism Act and are conducting further investigations.
