Firing halts traffic on Quetta-Karachi Highway

Traffic on Quetta-Karachi Highway remained suspended due to heavy exchange of firing between security personnel escorting passenger bus and some unidentified assailants near Mangchar in area in District Kalat which left two passengers injured, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
One injured person who was identified as Sadiqullah told media men that the firing was started at 8 pm last night when some unidentified gunmen attacked their passenger bus.
District administration said that the firing was stopped at about 1 am but the traffic on Quetta-Karachi remained suspended.
Deputy Commissioner Kalat Bilal Bashir said that normal traffic was restored soon after the stoppage of firing. He further said that a clearance operation was underway to determine loss and damage in the area.
Both the injured persons were immediately shifted to Trauma Center but they were later discharged from the hospital soon after their condition become satisfactory.
