The Punjab government has announced a public holiday throughout the province on February 5 in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
In order to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethren and sisters all Punjab government offices will remain closed on February 5 (Wednesday).
On Friday, the Sindh government had also announced a public holiday on February 5, closing down all government and semi-government offices throughout the province.
It may be mentioned here that two major provinces have taken lead this year in announcing the Kashmir Day public holiday as the federal government has not yet made any move in this regard.
