The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has extended health emergency for another three months as part of steps to stem the spread of Covid-19, 24 NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.
The province declared the health emergency in February last to combat coronavirus. The health secretary notified the extension that would expire on September 30. The notification has been issued after the CM's approval in consultation with health experts.
The emergency was extended from time to time to strictly enforce adherence to Covid-19 SOPs as it gives legal protection to the measures taken by the administration.
