In a heart-wrenching incident, three young boys lost their lives Friday after drowning while swimming in the Pat Feeder Canal in Dera Murad Jamali, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The tragic incident took place during the Eid holidays, casting a shadow of grief over the local community.
Among the victims were two boys named Abu Bakr and Abbas, who were found in an unconscious state and immediately rushed for medical assistance by rescue teams.
Despite their best efforts, the young boys could not be revived and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The third victim, identified as 15-year-old Ehsan Gopang, was also pulled out lifeless from the canal. Hailing from Jacobabad, he had traveled to Dera Murad Jamali to visit his relatives and celebrate Eid with them.
However, the joyous occasion turned into an unimaginable tragedy, leaving the entire community in shock and sorrow.
The incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks associated with swimming in natural bodies of water, especially for young individuals without proper supervision and safety measures. While Pat Feeder Canal may be inviting during hot weather, its powerful currents can pose serious hazards to swimmers.
