Pakistan Cricket Board is likely to review the performance of the national team players to determine the future of their contracts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, the national cricket team's central contracts, established for three years by PCB last year, have reached their first milestone.

As the initial year concludes, a comprehensive performance review will be held to determine the future of the contracts.

The original financial model, designed to span the length of the contracts, is now under scrutiny as the cricket board contemplates modifications based on the players' performance.

Sources reveal that based on this year's performance reports, decisions will be made regarding renewing or revising players' contracts. Players exhibiting subpar performance may face demotion or termination from the central contract list.

The PCB is also considering changes to the financial model of the contracts and is seeking legal advice on potential modifications to the current procedures.

This review could lead to significant changes in the central contracts, especially for those players whose performance has not met the expected standards.

Despite any changes, players wishing to participate in leagues will still require a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the PCB.
