The Universal Youm-e-Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee was observed throughout the country on Sunday with religious zeal on the call of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi to lodge a protest against demolition of holy shrines of Khatoon-e-Jannat Hazrat Syeda Fatima Zehra (S.A.), Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.), Ummahatul Momineen Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (S.A.), Hazrat Aisha (R.A.), Hazrat Hafsa (R.A.), Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.), Hazrat Usman (R.A.), Aaimma Ahle Bait (A.S.), Sardar-e-Jannat Imam Hassan (A.S.), Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S.), Imam Baqar (A.S.) and Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (A.S.) in Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Moallah on 8 Shawal, 1926.

Like all cities, towns and villages of Pakistan, protest rallies were taken out in America, Britain, Canada, Italy, Greece, Middle East, Africa and Australia. Addressing the mourners in this connection, Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi said that attack on the shrine of Hazrat Omar Bin Abdul Aziz is the continuation of Inhidaam Jannatul Baqee and is an inhuman act. The ideology of demolition of holy shrines of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (S.A.), Ahle Bait Athaar (A.S.), Sahaba Kubaar (R.A.) and Ummahatul Momineen (R.A.) has now spread all over the world and Muslim rulers should come out of a deep slumber. He said had the Muslim Ummah taken a step against the desecration of Jannatul Baqee and Jannatul Muallah, nobody would have dared to desecrate the shrines of Mashaheer-e-Islam in any part of the world.

He said the World Heritage Day is celebrated on April 18 every year, but no one speaks against demolition of the entire history of Muslims that took place in the same month because Muslims themselves have never raised their voice for restoration of their monuments. He said that restoration of the dignity of Shajar-e-Rasool (SAAW), the place of birth of the Rasool (SAAW), places of Companions and all memories and symbols of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) era are not the issue of any single country or a school of thought but the entire humanity and the Islamic World.

Later, the rally terminated at Imambargah Col. Maqbool Hussain after passing through its traditional route where special prayers marked its conclusion.
