The Establishment Division has sent a summary to the Prime Minister's Office regarding the restoration of Saturday's public holiday in all federal government departments.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the federal government has started consideration on reviving the weekend in federal government offices.

The report said that the Establishment Division will issue a formal notification for the resumption of the weekend in case of the approval of the PM Shehbaz Sharif.

It is pertinent to mention here that government employees had protested twice this month in front of the Parliament House for the restoration of the holiday.

During the protest, talks were held between the Establishment Division, a committee of senior officials and the leadership of the All Government Employees Grand Alliance, and assurance was given to restore the holiday.
