The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalization Committee has announced its decision to conduct provincial-level elections in July, following Eid-ul-Azha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Friday.
Member of the PFF Normalization Committee, Shahid Khokhar, stated that steps will be taken to ensure the elections of the provincial associations are carried out promptly after the holiday.
Khokhar revealed that the election process has already been completed in 109 districts across Pakistan and will be finalised in all remaining districts before Eid-ul-Azha. Subsequently, elections for the Pakistan Football Federation will be held.
Emphasizing the adherence to FIFA's instructions, Khokhar noted that for the first time, the election process has been completed in over 80 districts, addressing historical disparities where many districts were previously deprived of this right.
The PFF Normalization Committee aims to transfer power to an elected body as soon as possible.
