US envoy Donald Blome delighted at start of first Cricket World Cup in USA

US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome said on Saturday he was happy that for the first time in history, the USA was going to host a Cricket World Cup (WC), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message on the eve of the first T-20 Cricket World Cup in the USA, Blome said during his stay in Pakistan he had seen people’s love for the game. “There is a bowler and a batsman on every spacious lawn, especially in summers,” he said, adding, “The tournament will kick off tomorrow. I hosted team Pakistan at the US embassy prior to their departure for the UK.”
He went on to say that during the meeting, members of Pakistan’s T-20 squad gave him batting and bowling tips. “I hope we will see some entertaining encounters and some unforgettable moments during the event.”
“On behalf of the US embassy in Pakistan, I offer my good wishes to Pakistani cricketers,” the US envoy said.
