Federal Minister for Energy Khurram Dastgir Khan said on Wednesday that there would be no electricity loadshedding at sehr and iftar during the holy month of Ramadan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference in Gujranwala, he said besides sehr and iftar, loadshedding hours would be reduced during the holy month.
He further said that electricity was being supplied to industries in the country 24/7. “We are bound by the constitution,” the minister said, adding, “Although the constitution says elections should be held within 90 days of the dissolution of assemblies, but the census has also to be held.”
Dastgir said two judges, in their dissenting notes, had said there could be no suo motu notice of the case which was already sub judice.
He, however, said general elections would be held in the country in October 2023.
He said Imran’s fascist attitude was responsible for the issues confronting the country today. “The very act of dissolving two provincial assemblies was an act of arrogance on the part of the PTI chief,” he commented.
