First World must not fail developing countries amid corona: Shehbaz

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif said first world must not fail the developing countries as Covid-19 continues to roar ahead devouring lives and livelihoods, working classes particularly are exposed to even more formidable challenges, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

In a tweet uploaded on Saturday, the PML-N President said that the socio-economic impact of the virus and resultant lockdowns have deepened poverty.

Earlier, Shehbaz expressed his gratitude to the people of Karachi in NA-249 for their vote for the PML-N. “We all know the odds against which Miftah Ismail contested the election. Kudos to him and his team for a campaign that found traction with people. Hope ECP will uphold transparency,” Shahbaz Sharif said in a tweet.
