The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has imposed a ban on Youm-e-Ali processions across the country amid the ongoing COVID-19 third wave, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While limited gatherings would be allowed on Youm-e-Ali in strict compliance with the implementation of corona-related standard operating procedures (SOPs).

The NCOC meeting was attended by Planning Minister Asad Umar and Lit-Gen Hamoodur Rehman. Provincial chief secretaries attended the NCOC meeting via video link.

As per NOC released data on Saturday for the last 24 hours, there were 48,740 tests conducted, 4,696 people tested COVID-19 positive and the positivity ratio remained 9.6 percent. The country reported 146 deaths.
