The Pakistan Army has built a 100-foot steel bridge to cross the Swat River at Bahrain in Swat Valley which was destroyed by the raging floods last year, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
The Pakistan Army Engineering Corps already restored the damaged Bahrain bridge in September 2022 for the commuters with the help of makeshift material. Now, Paki Army has constructed a strong steel bridge at the damaged place.
The locals were thrilled at the reopening of the bridge because they had been unable to access other areas of the region.
Bahrain Bridge links the town with the main district of Swat, including Mingora and Khwazakhela.
The floods swept it away and isolated Bahrain from the rest of the regions and divided it into two separate parts.
Pakistan Army Engineers not only restored Bahrain Bridge temporarily but also permanently at a later stage.
