Over the law and order situation in Sindh, President Asif Ali Zardari called an important meeting in Karachi today.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, federal and provincial interior ministers, Inspector General (IG) Police Sindh, and cheifs of different security agencies will participate in the meeting.
The channel reported that a special briefing will be given to President Zardari on the overall security situation of Sindh, Karachi street crimes and Kache operations in the meeting.
The channel sources said that some important decisions related to the security issues in Sindh are expected in the meeting.
It is worth mentioning that Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi who reached Karachi yesterday held a special meeting with President Zardari and briefed him on the law and order situation of the country.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also briefed the President about the arrest of 4 terrorists involved in the attack on Chinese nationals in Bisham on March 26, 2024. Five Chinese engineers working at the Dasu Hydropower Project died in this suicide attack from the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
The federal interior minister also visited the Sindh Rangers Headquarters in Karachi and presided over a meeting with DG Major General Azhar Waqas.
DG Rangers Major General Azhar Waqas welcomed the interior minister while Moshin Naqvi paid rich tribute to the martyrs of Rangers, laid floral wreaths, and offered fateha.
On the occasion, the federal minister was given a detailed briefing regarding the operational preparations of the rangers, the eastern border situation, the ongoing operation against the bandits of Kacha, and the law and order situation in Karachi.
The minister appreciated the role of Rangers in bringing the law and order situation in Karachi normal besides security arrangements during the holy month of Ramazan.
Syed Mohsin Naqvi also lauded the steps taken to prevent terrorism, extensive operations against robbers and other crimes, and the role of Rangers in establishing peace and order in the province.
The minister reiterated his commitment that all possible measures will be taken to ensure the peace of Sindh province, especially Karachi.
