The Islamabad deputy commissioner and registrar of cooperative housing societies Tuesday imposed a complete ban on new allotments in 12 housing societies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the official sources, the ban was imposed on the housing societies over non-completion of their layout plans and non-approval of their maps from the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

A notification was also issued in this regard according to which there will be a complete ban on new allotments in these societies until the layout plan is approved by the development authority concerned.

Till that time, there will be a complete ban on new membership also in these societies.

The sale of constructed houses has also been linked to the approval of the registrar of the co-operative housing society.
