Gold prices in Pakistan Tuesday saw a significant increase of Rs1100 per tola despite the US dollar losing value against Pakistan rupee, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association showed that the price of the 24-karat gold decreased by Rs1,100 per tola and Rs944 per 10 grams to settle at Rs151,100 and Rs129,544, respectively.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-Karat gold reaches Rs118,748.
In the international market, the price of the yellow metal increased by $13 per ounce settling at $1,653.
The precious commodity's rates in Pakistan are around Rs1,500 below the cost compared to the rate in the Dubai market.
Meanwhile, silver prices in the domestic market also increase by Rs10 per tola to reach Rs1,590 per tola and Rs8.53 per 10 grams to reach Rs1,363.13.
