61 PIA flights to take off today

As many as 61 flights of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will take off from Lahore and other airports of the country today, as the airline’s flight operation which remained affected for weeks, is now heading towards restoration after improvement in the situation of fuel supply, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Spokesman for the PIA has claimed that the national flag carrier’s domestic as well as international flight operation has restored 90 per cent. “Majority of 51 flights, which were operated yesterday, were international,” he disclosed.
The situation has returned to normalcy thanks to a bailout package approved by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) for the PIA.
19 flights cancelled
Despite the fact that marked improvement has been noticed in the PIA’s flight operation in the last couple of days, still 19 flights were cancelled on Wednesday.
Six flights from Islamabad to Gilgit PK-601, PK-602, PK-605 and PK-606 were cancelled.
Similarly, national flag carrier’s flight from Islamabad to Dubai PK-233, two flights from Islamabad to Sukkur PK-631 and PK-632, and an equal number of flights from Islamabad to Karachi PK-368 and PK-369 had to be cancelled.
Lahore to Jeddah flight PK-959, Lahore-Karachi flight PK-303 and Lahore to Sharjah flight PK-186 were also cancelled.
Likewise, PK-258, from Sharjah to Peshawar, and two flights from Multan to Karachi PK-330 and PK-331 could not take off either.
Similarly, two flights from Karachi to Sukkur PK-536 and PK-537 and one flight from Dubai to Faisalabad PK-224 were also cancelled.
