The Pakistani rupee crumbled to pressure against the US dollar during trading in the interbank market on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per the information received from the forex dealers, the local currency depreciated by Rs1.18 against the greenback and ended the day at Rs282.65.
On Tuesday, the Pakistani rupee had depreciated 0.18% to settle at Rs281.47 against the US dollar.
In a related development, Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will begin crucial discussions on the first review of the $3 billion Standby-Arrangement (SBA) from tomorrow (Thursday) amid the government’s claim that all targets have already been met.
