West Indies star batsman Chris Gayle has withdrawn himself from the Indian Premier League because of the hectic of bio-secure bubble, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

Gayle, who plays for Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League, says he is tired of the biosecurity bubble.

He said that he wants to relax a little before the World Cup. Gayle had played two games for the team since making his IPL return.

‘‘I want to refocus on helping the West Indies in the T20 World Cup and would like to take a break in Dubai. My thanks to the Punjab Kings for giving me the time off. My wishes and hopes are with the squad always. All the very best for the games coming up."

Before joining the West Indies dugout for the World Cup, ‘Universe Boss’ is more likely to stay in Dubai.
