Pakistan People’s Party-Parliamentarian (PPPP) has claimed that Imran Khan’s government is charging 40 per cent extra prices on petroleum products, reported 24News HD TV channel on Friday.

PPP-P Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and Information Secretary Shazia Marri in a joint press conference rejected new petroleum prices and strongly criticized the government on the issues of high inflation, rise in prices of the petroleum products, expiration of NAB chairman's term, and electronic voting machine.

On the one hand, they said, Imran’s government raised the prices of petroleum products every fortnight, and on the other hand, the prime minister was suggesting people saying “Don't Worry.”

The PPP leaders said that the prices of petroleum products were not so high during the PPP’s last regime.

They claimed that on the petroleum products prices, the government was charging 40 per cent more than its original price.

They showed serious concerns over the Pakistani rupee’s low exchange rate against the dollar and said Afghanistan’s economy was better than Pakistan's.

They said that the deficit was increasing in the country but the finance minister was showing happiness for getting oil on a loan from Saudi Arabia.

The PPP leaders said the lower and middle classes in Pakistan had become a hand to mouth after the high inflation in the country.
