A local court has extended the judicial remand of the main accused in the case of gun attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan during the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf long march in November 2022, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Accused Naveed was presented in the court of Civil Judge Hammad Raza in Wazirabad on Saturday.
He was produced after his 14-day judicial remand was expired today.
He was brought to the court amid tight security.
During today’s hearing, the court extended accused Naveed’s judicial remand for another 14 days.
Accused Mohammad Naveed, who is in his 30s, was arrested after he fired shots at a container, wounding Imran and 10 others who were all on board.
Police said the suspected shooter was arrested after Khan supporter Ibtesam Hasan overpowered him and threw off his aim.
