Quaid-e-Azam Trophy: Khurram, Imad, Asad set new record by scoring centuries

In a thrilling display of cricketing prowess, the Karachi Whites cricket team dominated the third day of the fourth-round matches in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Khurram Manzoor, Imad Alam, and Asad Shafiq stole the limelight with their outstanding centuries against Lahore Whites.

Khurram Manzoor, a seasoned veteran, notched up the 34th century of his illustrious first-class career, displaying his composure with 110 runs, which included 9 boundaries and 2 sixes. Imad Alam, on the other hand, played an aggressive innings, amassing 102 runs with 11 fours and 4 sixes. The dynamic duo formed an impressive opening partnership of 168 runs, setting the stage for Karachi Whites' dominance.

Asad Shafiq, who has been in excellent form throughout the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, continued his impressive run by scoring his 30th first-class century, accumulating 113 runs, including 12 fours. These remarkable performances propelled Karachi Whites to a formidable total of 432/4 at the Gaddafi Stadium.

In other matches, Peshawar Region managed to secure a narrow lead of 360 runs in response to Lahore Blues' first-innings score of 334, thanks to Sahibzada Farhan's notable 132-run innings. FATA displayed resilience, scoring 167/3 in their second innings against Multan, led by Salman Khan's 76 runs, after facing a follow-on. Meanwhile, Rawalpindi chased a target of 203 runs to win against Faisalabad and concluded the day at 190/2, with Abdul Faseeh narrowly missing a century at 99 runs.

The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy continues to provide thrilling cricketing action, showcasing the talents of Pakistan's finest cricketers.
