Numerous incidents of robberies near the Islamabad airport at night have made air travellers and citizens insecure, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The airport insiders stated that an incident occurred last night when three unidentified people opened fire at a car near the airport.

The robbers looted the traveller, Sohail, who had reached Islamabad from abroad. They injured him and took the cash and his expensive belongings.

The sources said that the international flights reach and depart from the Islamabad airport late at night. The dacoits rob the travellers coming from or going to the airport.
