Body of Pakistani student died in China to reach Islamabad airport today

The body of Farhana Mushtaq, a Pakistani student who recently passed away in Tianjin, China will be arriving at Islamabad airport on Tuesday morning.


The Pakistani Embassy in China has completed the necessary arrangements to repatriate her body.


Farhana Mushtaq daughter of Mushtaq Ahmad of Khanpur district Rahim Yar Khan of South Punjab died of illness in China after completing two years of education.


Student Farhana was studying MBBS in Shenyang Medical College of China where she fell ill and ultimately died about ten days ago.


Mushtaq a middle-class father sent her daughter for education to China, spending his lifetime saving money only for her daughter's future.


The news of a poor father’s young daughter's death in China spread on social media in Pakistan like a jungle fire.


According to sources, the student’s body has been transferred to Beijing Airport and will be flown to Islamabad.


The PIA flight is scheduled to arrive at Islamabad Airport on Tuesday morning.


Earlier this week, the spokesperson for Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, informed the media that the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing had been in contact with both the deceased student’s university and her family.


The embassy's intervention facilitated crucial support for the grieving family. Following discussions, an insurance company agreed to compensate the family, while the university offered to cover the costs of transporting Farhana’s remains back to Pakistan.
