A female judge posted at Lahore Civil Court was removed from service while two other judicial officers were awarded punishments for exceeding their authority, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


The punishments were approved in a meeting of the administrative committee chaired by Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Aliya Neelam on Monday.


According to details, the LHC Chief Justice presided over the meeting to review administrative affairs. During the meeting, the Chief Justice approved several decisions including penalizing lower court judges.


Judge Shazia Parveen who was performing her duties as officer-on-special-duty (OSD) judge in Lahore Civil and District Court was dismissed from service with immediate effect.


Judge Shahbaz Hussain’s pay scale was halted for a period of three years.


Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdullah Hussain was awarded cemsure punishment.
