Former prime minister Imran Khan’s lawyers Friday claimed that they were not allowed by the jail administration to meet the PTI chairman despite court orders, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Imran Khan is incarcerated in Attock Jail in a Cypher case.

His lawyer Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and Sheraz Ahmed Ranjha while talking to media outside the Attock jail said that a special court granted permission to Chairman PTI Imran Khan to meet his doctor Dr. Faisal and lawyers in Attock Jail.

Special Court's Judge Abul Hasnant Muhammad Zulqarnain heard the separate applications in this regard and issued orders in this regard.

After the decision, Dr. Faisal, Shoaib Shaheen Advocate, Salman Safdar, Ali Ijaz Butter, Sheraz Ahmed Ranjha, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Naeem Panjotha and Intizar Panjotha went to meet former prime minister in jail. However, the jail administration did not allow them to meet Imran Khan. Despite court orders, lawyers were prevented from meeting, Gohar Ali said.

He said the PTI chairman's sentence has been suspended and now, he is in jail in the case of Cipher.

Shiraz Ranjha said that the court issued orders that Chairman PTI should be contacted by his sons Suleman and Qasim.  “Attock Jail administration has received orders in this regard, Shiraz Ranjha said adding that the authorities refused to talk to Qasim and Sulaiman.

Jail authorities are violating the constitution and law, Shiraz Ahmed Ranjha concluded.
