A wild leopard has been seen near the Earth Science Building of Quaid e Azam University, Islamabad, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.  

The students and management were frightened after seeing a leopard who was roaming freely on the university premises.

The sources said that officials of the wildlife department arrived at the scene after they were contacted soon a staff member reported to have spotted the animal in the bushes.

However, the wildlife officials said that despite carrying out a search operation, the leopard was not sighted again and was likely to have returned to its den.

However, the administration released a warning to all students and employees of Quaid e Azam University, Islamabad to remain careful.
