A meeting chaired by Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday decided in principle to redesign the Out-Patient Department (OPD), emergency ward and child blocks of Lahore’s Mayo Hospital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister sought a plan for the upgradation of the Mayo Hospital. He was told about the start of the implementation of the outsourcing plan of MRI, CT scan, and angiography services.
The chief minister also directed to meet the number of nurses in proportion to the number of beds in public hospitals.
“The number of nurses in the ICU should be completed on a priority basis,” he ordered and also directed for the renovation of the Mayo Hospital and the provision of furniture and medical equipment there.
The chief minister also issued directions for fixing air-conditioning in hospitals on a priority basis.
