Fatima Jinnah Medical University has officially received approval from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for its postgraduate programs (MS/MD/MPhil) in both basic and clinical sciences.
To mark this significant achievement, a meeting of the Deans Committee, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, was held. During the meeting, the committee congratulated the Registrar, faculty, and administration of Fatima Jinnah Medical University on this success. FJMU is recognized as one of the leading universities in Punjab, and the approval of its postgraduate programs by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council further solidifies its reputation.
The approved MPhil programs at Fatima Jinnah Medical University/Sir Ganga Ram Hospital include Anatomy, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology, and Physiology. The MD programs include Psychiatry, Dermatology, General Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Preventive Pediatrics, and Radiology. The MS programs include Anesthesia, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, Urology, and General Surgery.
Similarly, the Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara’s MS programs include Urology, and the MD programs include Medicine, Pediatrics, and Nephrology.
Additionally, 36 postgraduate programs at Fatima Jinnah Medical University/Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and 8 postgraduate programs at Government Teaching Hospital Shahdara are approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
